Description of TEKTON SBH00224 Breaker Bar 1/2 Inch Drive: Ultimate Strength and Long Reach

Long handle provides extended reach and the leverage to free rusted or stuck nuts and bolts. 230-degree pivoting head lets you approach your work from any angle. No preset head positions means you can move fluidly around obstructions along your swing path. An internal spring controls the tension and position of the head while installing sockets or engaging fasteners. Sleek and simple handle design offers comfort and control in a variety of one- or two-handed grip positions. Durable chrome plated finish is corrosion-resistant and easy to wipe clean. Stated length is true working length, from center of drive tang (at 90?) to end of handle.

Seems to be very durable in hand tools

I use to remove the center lock wheels on a Porsche GT3. These nuts are torqued to 440 ft-lbs. This breaker appears to be very strong and easily releases the central locks. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Disappears

Broke on second use

Bought to help with basic car maintenance. Worked fine the first time but the swivel head had side play. Broke on second use. Contacted the seller and received no response.

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • old

Strong Break Bar

I was working on a large tractor brush assembly and needed a little extra leverage. This handlebar is well made, I put 6ft tubing on top of the handlebar to further lengthen it and it worked well. It flexed when I needed serious strength but held up well. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Negative Side Present

If I could give 0 stars I would.

The circuit breaker arrived this morning and I have a project I am trying to finish by Friday so I can ship the bulky equipment. I needed a bar to loosen a few screws. Literally 2 minutes to try and break these bolts and it clicks. What a huge waste of money! Do not buy this product, it is obviously very cheaply made. Now my project will be on backlog while I try to find a replacement.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

BreakerBar won!

It took two of us to loosen the upper ball joints with this massive tool. One of us pushed on one side and the other pulled on the crowbar. The ball joint rusted in place, but the breaker wouldn't even budge. The upper ball joint lost the battle and we won! This pry bar is perfect for projects that require something that makes you feel like a pro! It's the difference between being able to do it with what you have and wanting to get it right in less time without harming the project or yourself!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Should have bought one of these years ago

I have 24" 1/2" and 40" 3/4 drive versions. Have you ever had trouble removing a bolt from your car/truck? Buy a 24" 1/2 jackhammer and you can remove pretty much everything. I ended up having to buy a 40" version of the 3/4 drive to break some of the overtightened spindle nuts. Taking them off was easy with a 40 inch pry bar and the weight of my own body. They are great tools and I can't believe I went without them for so long. They are almost all 18" 3/8 drive versions and will break at the…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
