Description of TEKTON Drive 12 Point Socket SHD02206

12-point opening fits double hex (12-sided), hex, and square-shaped fasteners. Socket geometry is designed to apply force to flat sides of fasteners and not the corners, preventing round-off. Standard-length socket is relatively versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications. Extra-large die-stamped size markings are easy to read and can’t wear off. Polished, chrome-plated finish easily wipes clean and is highly resistant to corrosion. Four detent grooves provide a secure connection with the drive tool. Beveled inner rim of the socket opening helps guide it smoothly onto fasteners. Overall Socket Length: 0.98 in. Socket End Diameter: 0.39 in. Drive End Diameter: 0.47 in. Socket Well Depth: 0.36 in.

12 pt 1/4 dr 1/4 " socket

High quality, precision and performance. Harley Davidson brake pad replacement requires this head. People just have it not 12 pt in this size.

Screw didn't fit! Requires 15mm

Needed to remove training wheels from children's bikes and said 15mm hex socket manual so bring it along. It was too big and couldn't clamp the screws. The bike was Dynacraft.

Perfect size for the job

Use this socket for tightening and loosening 1/4" square shank air release valves. Works better than a typical square socket wrench when additional torque is needed Opening the valve is required.

good piece for triple square drive

To be honest I couldn't find that specific size anywhere. The big tool companies that I know don't make such an agreement. 5/16 12 point 1/4" deep socket. I was surprised to see that this is a very nice piece. Can't wait to get it dirty.

great for tight workspaces

I needed a 1/4" 1/4" 12-point socket for use with the 1/4 x 28 12-point screws designed for low profile clamps parallel to the bed to be used on my tiller machine. This particular socket is not easy to find as it is 12 pin not 6 pin. This bushing has a very small OD and has enough clearance to use a 1/4" ratchet when tightening the clamps. Fits snugly on my 12 point bolt head and has no play. The look and finish is very nice, the function is perfect.
