Do you need an angle for your Allen key?

hex wrenches are hex wrenches, there is not much difference between them. However, this set comes in handy as you get two (standard and metric) for a slightly higher price than buying just one from the store. Also, the ball end is very handy when you need a small angle as the Allen key doesn't fit directly into the screw/bolt.

They DO NOT offer 25 degree access

My mechanic already has hex wrench sets in his tool kit. The whole reason I got them was to have 25 degree access. Trust other reviews - they give you a maximum of 10 access levels. Bondhus are excellent and provide the 25 degree access you are looking for when ordering a set of ball end Allen keys. I tried using 10 degrees versus 25 degrees on a bike and it made a huge difference in usability. These tektons have been returned.

Durable and physically heavy All the sizes you will ever need

Heavy duty tools and ball ends. If you want ball ends, make sure it says so in the description when ordering. It's about a dollar more, but well worth it. Tekton is building a strong reputation for its line of tools. I count these artisans above because the artisans now make most of their (formerly Danaher) in China. I have several sets of these allen wrenches, but I can never find them when I need them. So it was a good buy.

  • Great fit for me

Rounds out the hex bolts on my bikes

later Wrenches are inexpensive but good and strong. I'm sure they will last a long time. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the bolts you use this wrench on. The tolerance is a bit off, so it goes slightly loose into the head of the screw and slowly but surely rounds it out. Maybe this works if you're assembling furniture that comes with heavy, strong screws, but will ruin less strong (and lighter) screws like those used on bikes, for example. Instead, I used wrenches on a Topeak…

Ball end is not like that! Terrible gear and commitment.

Bought for work. There were very high expectations for them as they mostly had a 5 star rating. I wish I could read more reviews people have written. So I have Bondhus Allens too and the bullet end on them sucks. It has a flat in the middle of the ball that doesn't allow it to snag like it should, up to the advertised 25 degrees. I would say you get a maximum angle of 5 to 10 degrees. I won't comment on their durability as I haven't used them seriously yet. Annnnnnnnnd probably won't use them…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

I am a tool snob and they are not bad except for the plastic holder

I am usually a tool snob and I like my tools which are made in Germany or USA and come in a fancy wooden box. I also have several other allen wrenches that are many times more expensive than this one. That being said, to my great surprise, they don't look as shiny as the more expensive ones, but they're good. I've had them for a few years now and have used them many times and the buttons are good quality - strong steel that won't bend or fall out and they're a good length. I've tightened them…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Quality is NOT Tekton branded

Arrived safe and sound. Box and packaging are undamaged. The smaller 4 keys are bent and unusable. I really had to say if this is a manufacturing defect or damage. Also, the plastic holder is flimsy and that stupid loop doesn't really stop it from opening. For the $15 it cost me I'll probably just trade it in and live with the lack of quality, but honestly, Tekton really did something wrong with this product. Definitely NOT representative of my overall amazing experience with the Tekton brand.

Pros
  • Long/short arm design provides greater reach on one end and extra leverage on the other
Cons
  • So far so good

Sturdy best wrench set

Works great. All keys correctly correspond to their marked measurements. They're a bit greasy outside of the packaging (to prevent rusting I think) so you'll need to fix that, but they work fine. Everything but the smallest pieces is solid. Maybe I'm overestimating how strong toddlers in general need to be, maybe I am. The black paint on the ends of the bits scratches easily with use, but no rounding or actual metal damage, just cosmetic wear. would recommend. This set is every size I've ever…

Make sure you put it back. UPDATED with Fix.

Otherwise it will be lost. Or, if you end up getting too many, you'll have trouble figuring out which are metric and which are imperial since none of the pieces are marked with their size. The size is only indicated on the holder. The keys themselves are of good quality. I had to use some force on the little ones a few times and was happy to see they didn't bend or warp. FIX: The larger pieces have size markings, but the smaller ones, which I use almost exclusively, are unmarked. In the SAE…
