I didn't buy it for the terrarium. It's not really a mat. It is a flat thermoplastic laminated with plastic. Not bendable. It works for me and I will give a 5 star rating because if it were for a terrarium they would be perfect. I don't see anything in the packaging that could be glued. If it goes under the tank, you don't need anything.

They don't have a sticky back. It is in order. There is only one rotary switch with off and on. There aren't any markings on the dial, so you can't tell how far up or down the pad is while trying to set it up. It takes hours of fiddling with to get the right temperature for our habitat and then I have to use a separate thermometer to get the exact temperature. I would like to buy another heating pad.

If you have snakes or other reptiles that require underfloor heating then this is for you. Adjustable heat is great, although these pads may not get as hot as some other well-known brands. Great value for money. Personally, I really don't like pads with glue - glue never lasts long and is more of a nuisance than a benefit. These pads work great with snake racks. I use it for our porcupine and ball pythons. 5 star product!

I like these heating mats, the performance is much better than the similar ones I've bought but after a few months of use they start to have problems. I use them to heat quail chicks in aquariums and they worked great until one of them "grimaced" and got very hot in one spot and barely warm in another. The other has held up well. These heating mats are great, they are a size larger than I expected. I'm currently using them to heat two 36 x 16 x 18 leopard gecko bathtubs and on the highest setting they support 86 to 90. They're nice and thin so they slide easily under the bathtubs and aren't sticky, which is what I wanted. I don't like having to keep heating mats in place in case I need to move them.
