I liked that all the details and even a good key to using the tool; were included. (I replace parts on many instruments with better brackets, bearings, etc., but everything was of good quality, even the wrench to use this tool.) I have installed headset bearings on my MTB before and everything has worked fine.

The 12 mm - 1/2" threaded shaft deviates from the advertised diameter of 16 mm - 5/8". This may not matter to most people, but I plan on using "Park Tool" crimps and they have a 5/8" ID; a larger bar is required to align the plates properly. The rest of the Tools looks good value for money, should be enough if you use the included pressure plates.The ball bearing thrust washer is a nice feature.

Looks good but threaded shank, handle and nut are cheap steel that can rust. To be honest I don't recommend this tool, why? As it can corrode, rust and warp, the handle slides through the hole and is only held in place by the rubber o-rings on each side, it still moves. Aluminum press cups are fine, but the threaded steel shaft, nut, and handle will seize and rust. Find a similar tool in blue, the handle, nut and handles are all stainless steel and the handles screw into the top of the handle…
