Took a risk, but it was a bad choice

In my opinion Turk had a good reputation many years ago. So I ventured into this antenna because my wife has been asking me for years to restore the reception of a classic radio station that she also listens to (the old antenna connection had been disconnected some time ago). Looks nice, but the reception is worse than just sticking a dipole antenna to the wall. Must be sent back. What a waste of time.

Deletes deleted signals.

I bought this hoping to "clear up" the signal on a couple of distant stations that my receiver wasn't consistently picking up clearly. I put it on the windowsill, pocketed it, and had instant success. As other reviewers have pointed out, placement is everything. I was just lucky to have my system next to the window. It doesn't work miracles, but when the conditions are good it works very well.

Works much better than I expected.

I was pretty skeptical when I ordered this. In the distant past I had bad results with amplified TV antennas. The signal for the NPR station I plan to use to wake up was poor, even with a bunny ear antenna plugged into a decent receiver. When my bunny ears were "just right," sometimes it was normal, and sometimes it was just impossible to listen. But I decided to try this Turk. I have to say I'm shocked at the result. Perfect sound, and the antenna doesn't change position when someone dusts the

Frustrating lack of power

I thought the Terk Edge would be a nice upgrade over the Terk Tower I had previously. Unfortunately very disappointed. The single-wire antenna picked up FM signals much better. In the end I settled on a flat plastic butterfly antenna with an amplifier, which I attached to the wall on the back of the picture. Nothing I did helped the reception of this device. Full amp, no amp, high, low, near or far from the window - only one high powered station got through and the signal was noisy. Lots of FM…

It works as advertised!

Want to significantly improve your FM reception? This is the one that will do it. It's more expensive than passive antennas - but it's worth it! Just follow the simple instructions - Adjust position, height and gain. This may take a few minutes as you first need to determine/move where to place it to get the best signal. Then try changing the height from the ground. Then try adjusting the gain (do this in each spot) and find the best spot. Take your time and you will find it. I have an old…

Works great in the right place.

I've heard many combinations of radios and antennas over the decades. After reading most of the reviews on here I decided to give it a try. BTW I hook it up to a Sangean AM/FM HD tuner which doesn't need a lot of input to get a good signal. Anyhow, TERK made it safely to my home in Tumwater, Washington. I took it out of the box, pocketed it, placed it on an 8ft high shelf and was immediately disappointed. I only received about a dozen channels. I thought about it, got a coax extension cable and

I hope this review was helpful

I bought this product for one reason only. I'm an NPR (news and music) addict. And I work in a steel building. Until recently, I was able to stream music to my office over the internet. Due to the nature of our business, we have recently tightened our internet security and banned audio streaming. Anyway, I was on the committee that made the decision. I ordered a Terk hoping that my Tivoli Audio One at the office could pick up a signal from Des Moines (65 miles) or Ames (45 miles). I actually…
