I bought an Audiovox Terk VR1 automatic volume control to balance the volume on my HDTV output, which is amplified by my stereo. The aim was to eliminate noisy advertising and differences between different channels. I originally bought a version of this device called Audiovox from another vendor. I was so happy with this I searched for another on Revain.com and found the Terk VR1 to be the same as the Audiovox so I bought it under the Terk VR1 name. It was identical to my Audiovox and it was in fact an Audiovox as it says on the box. I've bought 3 of these so far. I didn't hear the pops when adjusting the volume that others have reported.
