Misleading entry Does not recognize keyboard with Win7

The above entry states that this KVM works with Windows 7. However, I've tried three different keyboards, all with wired USB, and none of them work with a switch for Windows 7. I got the keyboards to work with Windows 10, but I really need this switch for older Windows 7 machines. I wonder if this KVM supports "Full Time DDC/EDID"? After doing some research on KVM switch issues in Windows 7, this seems to be the problem. I will keep working on this issue and will update this review if I find a…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • For seniors

When I first got the DP version of this KVM, I used a monitor. As soon as I hooked up the second monitor, I found my applications moved to the main monitor after switching inputs. Unfortunately this was past my return deadline. I did a little research and came across EDID. In short, without EDID in KVM, your computer will forget that there are two monitors when you switch inputs. I would never have bought this KVM if I knew I would have to move windows back to the second monitor after every…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

I really wish it would work

I really wanted this product to work and for the most part it works. However, it does have one BIG downside in my opinion. Attached monitors do not go to sleep regardless of whether the attached computers are in sleep mode, turned off, or completely disabled. I asked the manufacturer and his answer confirmed my words. There is no workaround. Another minor annoyance is that this device has a USB hub that switches with the displays. While EDID eliminates annoying system noises when…

Works perfectly. Best in External Components

This switch does everything I hoped it would. I've had it for 2 weeks now and no problems were my fault. I thought the hotkey combination for switching between computers stopped working, but it turns out that I accidentally changed the hotkey from [Scroll Lock] to [Right-CTRL] by accidentally pressing the hotkey combination [Scroll Lock ] [Scroll Lock] F1 entered. I asked TESmart tech support about it and they fixed the issue right away. I had another KVM switch before purchasing TESmart and…

Great item - Works as advertised

EDIT - Just noticed the "Early Review Award" in my review. The gift card costs $3. I assure you that $3 did not affect my rating in any way. I've owned several KVMs over the years and have been waiting for a price drop for KVMs that support 4 4k resolution devices that cost no more than my monitors. This dual monitor support was an added feature that made me decide it was about time. It works for me with 3 stock computers and 2 monitors (4k/2k) - so far so good. I use the latest set of cables…

Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

DOES IT SUPPORT ultrawide displays with high refresh rate

I took a chance with this KVM because it says it supports two 4k60hz displays but doesn't specifically say it supports ultrawide displays. However, it works well with a Gigabyte G34WQC 3440 x 1440 panel, albeit limited to 100Hz, and a Dell S2716DGR 2560 x 1440 monitor at 60Hz (Dell only supports 60Hz over HDMI, so it's not KVM that is the display restricted). The USB ports also work great, switching the Blue Yeti's mouse, keyboard and microphone between all four computers - a gaming PC, a MacOS

A bit tricky to set up and use, but it works for me.

I am using a TESmart dual monitor KVM switch with two Acer 2K monitors (2560 x 1440) connected to three PCs. Two Dell laptops for work and my personal home desktop. While laptops require adapters to work with DP ports, they work quite well when switching between PCs. Only occasionally do I have to manually select a source on one of the monitors to complete the switchover. A little annoying but still allows you to use one set of keyboard, mouse and monitors for multiple PCs. The desktop is more…
