Tetra Whisper Easy Aquariums Non UL Fish & Aquatic Pets Review

This pump stood in my aquarium for years until it had a small accident. Saw the exact same pump on Revain and bought the same one as I'm very happy with the quality, almost no noise, performance, price etc. The bubbles were a bit slow for the first hour or so but then they picked up again and it's working very good since then. Definitely recommend.

I have several aquariums. I use this air pump for my sponge filters. I tried one of the newer air pumps, too useless, the tetra pump is an old, simple, easy to use and very reliable air pump. I have 6 or so. One has failed after a little over 3 years of continuous use and I have another that has been running very quietly for over 8 years until it hits something really reliable. I would highly recommend this pump

Pressure is good enough, two air outlets are good if you need to feed another aquarium, the price isn't bad BUT. It makes too much noise. I had to choose another air pump after the second diaphragm on my 10 year old air pump failed and this seemed like a good choice. It works well and all the accessories work well, but the pump vibrates even on the table. I had to put something underneath to absorb the impact. If you say you can live with a little noise, then this is a good air pump.

I was struggling on how many stars to give this one. Because I REALLY LOVE this air pump. It's way better than other air pumps I've bought and MUCH quieter than others I've tried. However, it's still noisy. I put mine on a small towel and that helps with the noise and I have to restrict the airflow a bit to find the right airflow I need. I bought a Tetra 100 for a 55 gallon tank. The pump is about 4 feet below the tank and should also fit another foot into the tank. So that's about 5 feet or more of hose. Also, you should have a check valve if it's under the tank. Skip this step and you could potentially flood your house. Now you have bigger problems. The check valve reduces the efficiency by about 20%. Tank height may or may not reduce efficiency by another 5-15%. And the air stone reduces it by maybe another 5-10%. This is a…

This is an aquarium pump, Revane, not a vacuum cleaner. So it blows rather than sucks, or at least the air intake is irrelevant to its function. What really sucks is how this site deleted my written review after I tried to add a video. I received it on 7/27/22 so hopefully I won't have to comment on durability any time soon.
