Didn't have to change this light

Boat came with this light and after 3 seasons only a few leds were working. I replaced the flashlight with the exact same light and hope it lasts. It has LEDs and they should last thousands of hours. I just hope the mount that came with the boat was defective. When the LEDs start dying I will look for another lamp.

Strange product! Best in Electrical

This product was clearly designed by someone who knows nothing about boaters. To hide the tiny mounting screws, they made the bayonet mounting system. This requires the wire to be left slightly slack. Then mounting on the cabin ceiling is not possible. The waterproof switch makes it difficult to turn on. If your boat is submerged, you have bigger problems than a shorted switch. It's more like a headlight or map light. Highlighting only the small circle directly below! Leave the rest of the…

No problem with installation

This is a problem with installation, if you have extra wire after screwing in the base, you can't insert the bulb itself far enough into the holder to rotate and lock it . Place. I can't see how to get to the screw holes without having a little extra wire with the lamp hanging to the side. I have installed several different types of low voltage lights and none of them have caused me so much pain. It's also significantly dimmer than the cheaper incandescent bulb it's designed to replace. and…

Don't let the light installation disappoint you.

There aren't many boat lights with white and red bulbs so I took a chance even after reading some reviews - my bad ones. This lamp is overpriced for what you get. It's 4 inches in diameter, smaller than I expected, and the LEDs aren't very bright. What worries me the most is the difficulty of installing a flashlight almost anywhere. There is no room above the light for the cables unless they get badly pinched when screwing on the light unit and you need to cut a cable slot on the side of the…

Mounting on a flat surface is next to impossible

As some other reviews have noted, this is some really quirky design work. The lantern has no room for wires when mounted on a flat surface, unless you can clear space underneath to accommodate it (difficult with a fiberglass boat deck) or get mounting screws - which are obviously made of some sort of Chinese silver oil and pop stand out immediately - screwed completely flush, the light module cannot be snapped into the housing with force. White light is bright, but actually blue-white (around…
