This cat collar has a terrible and strong smell of plastic: almost toxic. If I think it stinks, I'm sure it smells a lot worse for my cat. Although very beautiful and shiny.

This product is beautiful, expensive, but it smells terrible! It smells very strongly of chemicals. I'm trying to ventilate, but so far the smell is irresistible, I'm afraid to put it on the cat

The collar gave off a strong chemical odor when I opened the packaging. I left it outside for a few days but I could still smell it. I soaked it in soapy water but that didn't help either. I didn't want my kitten getting this chemical through her skin so I threw it away. Big disappointment.

HAD A HORRIBLE SMELL! I let him go for 3 weeks! But the shiny things didn't come off. She is usually scratchy and hates collars. She hardly scratches them. Also today I noticed that the paint on the bell is peeling off! Where are we going? This is a concern. I'll find a foam collar for her. My fault is that I didn't see this one. I was looking for that.

I bought this collar for my free range kennel rabbit and received it on January 28th. I liked that it has a bell to help me keep an eye on them. I don't like that the jewelry (attached with adhesive tape) started peeling off within the first week. He doesn't rub her fur more than he should, and she doesn't scratch her jewelry. I would have given five stars if it wasn't for that.

My very active cat has had it for a year and a half and not a single stone has been lost. It still looks new, is reliable but adjusts when needed and seems comfortable. The only drawback is the toxic chemical smell of the collar when opening the packaging. However, the unpleasant smell dissipates fairly quickly over time, which won't stop me from buying this collar again.

ONLY negative: the packaging smelled so strange that I had to let it air out for a few days. But the most amazing thing about this collar is that the crystals haven't fallen off yet! Surprising considering my cat usually kills the crystal on her collar. I blame this original stink on the amazing glue holding these gems in place :D The collar is SUPER soft, doesn't pull or rub my cat's hair, it has a fuse so I'm super happy!

Please do not buy this collar. I don't understand such a high rating. The collar itself is made from skin-like foam that is easy for your kitty to chew and swallow. The "smell" everyone is talking about seems to be the collar itself, or maybe the glue that the rhinestones are attached to. (who knows if it's poisonous). This diamond collar sparkles and the bell makes a pleasant chime. When I received the item I noticed that one of the 'diamonds' didn't shine like the others and thought it was missing. "Diamond" was glued upside down in the collar. Our cat is not used to wearing collars, but tolerates them for about a day. We think she could have used more if the bell was a little smaller.
