Worked for a good month.

Worked for about a month then showed either 400+ temps or XX.X. Does anyone have any idea how to get a warranty replacement for this?

Good thermometer for kitchen and dining room

I like this thermometer. What I like the most is that it runs on a regular AAA battery. I don't have to buy a much more expensive button cell like my latest thermometer.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not bad

It has a nice thin temperature sensor that helps avoid big holes.

I wanted to use this digital thermometer to measure the internal temperature of the loaves of bread I bake each week. It has a nice thin temperature sensor that helps avoid big holes in the crust that ruin the impression of the finished product. However, the sensor is not accurate. It reads about 10 degrees Fahrenheit. I verified this using the temperature of boiling water. There is no way to adjust the calibration. When baking, ten degrees are important. money thrown away.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

TWO broken thermometers in three months

I bought my first 6/8 and liked it so much I bought a separate one to bake 6/30. I tried to take my chicken's temperature tonight and found that a whole column of ink (light?) had failed. A friend used it this week when he was visiting so I figured he might have dropped it so I got out my pastries and the same. A whole column of ink was gone. I'm the only one using it so I know it hasn't been lost. It's a shame that both thermometers lasted just under three months. IMO not worth the money.

Tested on Thermapen

About 3 years ago I saved up and bought Thermapen for about $100 because the reviews were great. I've been using it ever since and I love it. But this week I saw an instant thermometer(?) on sale at Revain for $10.99 and I wanted to take it with me on the go. So I took a chance and got it yesterday. (The image below is the new red). As soon as I got it I wanted to test the speed and accuracy. I tried them side by side on bread fresh from the oven. They showed the same temperature with a…

Great performance at a great price

I'm a big fan of America's Test Kitchen. They do a lot of reviews and test kitchen products. One of her reviews was on a meat thermometer. They recommended Thermapen, which costs about $100. I'm a little too cool for my budget. One of the reviews for this ThermoPro thermometer was given by the owner of Thermapen for $100 and made a direct comparison between ThermoPro and Thermapen. They indicated that their characteristics (accuracy and speed) were almost the same. So I went with the ThermoPro…

3 stopped working within 1 year. Loved her very much before going out

Liked the ease of use. Fast reading. A probe with multiple angles also helps a lot. UNEXPECTED I just went through my third tp03a thermal pro. The first resigned within a year. I still liked the feature so I went ahead and bought 2 more as the price was only $12 well over 3 months later and now the 2nd and 3rd are ALL fast. Tried changing the batteries but still no luck. The latter turns on but turns off +10 degrees compared to two different types of thermometers that show the same reading at…

Broke down in 6 months

First I liked this ThermaPro instant thermometer: comfortable button that pushes out the probe, easy on/off switch, clear display - it all won my heart. Also, the thermometer appeared to be accurate. Then after using it fairly regularly (about 4 times a week) he started having problems. At first the probe got stuck and didn't surface. I sort of fixed it so can't complain, but after only a few months of use it felt weird. Then one day the probe completely detached from the red plastic handle…
