🔥 Premium Thermostatic Mixing Valve - 1/2 NPT Male Connections, Brass Construction Review

I bought this mixing valve for my RV's solar system. I love how durable it feels and how easy it is to install. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, so I can't comment on its performance or durability.

Control works well but difficult to stop leaks around fittings. At least 2 washers per fitting. If you use 2 washers on the fitting you have to be careful as one of them will bend and slide into the controller, continuing the leak. Instead of sending 2 washers they should send a thick one for fittings.

I use it with one of those cheap propane heaters without a tankless water heater for outdoor use and the only problem is that it takes longer to heat up when this valve slows down the hot water flow Heat exchanger makes the water even hotter. So it can fluctuate between too hot and too cool on the heater, but you never know in the shower! I wasn't expecting much in this price range, but I'm very impressed.

As another reviewer mentioned, the washers that come with MIP to tapered thread adapters don't provide a good seal. It's not about thickness, it's about hardness. They deform too easily and go into the inlet/outlet. I had two of the three joints sealed before giving up and buying harder shims from the hardware store.
