Description of ThreatGEN

ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue is the industry’s first multi-player strategy computer game designed to teach real-world cybersecurity. Students can play solo missions or compete against each other, head-to-head, to take control/maintain control of a computer network. This is not a fiction-based game, like those found on the consumer gaming market, or challenge solving "capture the flag (CTF)." This is a live, player vs. player “gamified” training simulator, designed to teach cybersecurity skills in an immersive and interactive applied learning environment.

Interesting concepts and fun learning curve

The concept behind this product was unique for its time - it had some very cool features that were ahead at their release date; such as being able to use your own custom maps created with 3D modelling software! It's also nice having several different levels available depending upon how much you want players involved when playing versus just watching from afar via remote controls etc., which I think made things easier than if they only offered one level per purchase price point range i guess? A…

Pros
  • Very good graphics, game play & interface
  • Fun games playing experience overall
  • Great variety between options/features provided (levels included)
  • Lots o' fun ways in learning more or applying skills gained elsewhere into real life situations like work
Cons
  • So-so

Great tool to utilize in an educational setting

I love that this allows me as both student & instructor flexibility when it comes time for class assignments! It also gives students great practice with taking ownership over their own security efforts even if they are new at using tools such as Wireshark etc.. The way you have set up your course has allowed us some freedom within our classroom structure which helps keep everyone engaged throughout all lessons!! My only dislike would be how long certain parts could sometimes last before we move

Pros
  • Also very simple interface design making access quick
Cons
  • Almost never

Great learning tool if want get into networking

I like that it teaches how to use and configure firewalls in different ways. It also has some good tutorials on how to be more efficient with your time. Sometimes you have to find out what features are needed and then search for them. There is nothing I dislike about this program yet. It does what it is supposed to do. If you are looking for something that will help teach basics of firewall configuration and administration, try Threatgen. It's very user friendly and the price is reasonable as…

Pros
  • Easy interface
  • Great tutorial videos included!
  • User friendly GUI.
  • Good value compared other similar programs available online today or even offline (books) if we want an alternative learning experience instead using software alone
Cons
  • Nothing really comes into mind at present.
  • Maybe there should've been additional information regarding security threats such viruses
