Great damper for the money.

I've been using my old Wrangler for 20 years now, 3rd but cheap and easy to install. The noise level is perfect and I'm glad they still make one.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Negative present

Well built and quiet sound

Installed on my 22R off road Toyota and it's very nice and quiet. Until it cracked and fell apart in extremely rough terrain. I will buy more if needed.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Something different

Nice exhaust sound but not too loud

I had Thrush mufflers welded on my Corvette 68 convertible and they were too loud. The radio couldn't be heard while driving and the noise sounded great at first, but the longer I drove the more annoying it became. These dampers are much better. It hums when sitting and is relatively quiet. Now I can even listen to the radio.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Reliability

Excellent damping capability at higher speeds and gives .

Replaced muffler with 99 Dodge Durango 5.9L V8, with more than 40 pounds of 2.5 foot muffler on this single muffler. Excellent damping ability at higher revs and a nice low growl and growl at idle up to 2000rpm. I've had loud exhaust systems before and this is absolutely perfect and what I was looking for added absolutely no freeway hum.

Pros
  • readable even old
Cons
  • Appearance

That's exactly what I wanted.

I had quite an open exhaust at first, quite loud. Tired of this and wanted something to turn down the volume. A normal turbo exhaust could not have reduced it enough. That was right. It took away almost all of the exhaust note, but it has a little bass at idle and consistently if you step on it and open it up you can tell it flows better than the muffler. In general what I wanted.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Transparency

Worked great and fit my 88 Ford Ranger 4x4

I needed a new muffler after my old one broke through the bed. I wanted a fairly boomy sound, not a loud, hollow rice sound. This muffler gave me what I wanted and was looking for. It has a nice low rumble at idle and still maintains a good midrange at higher revs. Sounds great on my truck and really sounds like how a small mid 6 cylinder truck should sound. This is my daily driver, I didn't want anything loud or crazy sporty.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • disappears

Tames the wildest beasts

I recently bought a 2003 BMW 540i. It has a 4.4 liter V8 engine and the previous owner had the brilliant idea of removing the stock muffler and sound box. The car was loud as hell when I bought it and I had to babysit it to avoid waking up the whole neighborhood and getting the attention of every cop within a three mile radius. Now, with just that muffler and no resonator, this car is as quiet as any other on the road under normal driving conditions. As the revs increase, the engine still gets…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
