Based on our own experience, this muffler delivers an impressive boost to our car's performance. It's lightweight and easy to install, making it a great addition to any exhaust system. The only downside is that it can be a bit loud at high speeds.
Pros
Improves exhaust flow and enhances engine performance
Fit this to my Jeep GC 04 4.7L in place of the Thrush double glazing that was in place of the stock muffler, the cats are still there. It sounded good, but the rumble at 2100 rpm, right at 75 mph, was just insane. This muffler has completely fixed that, it's a lot quieter but still has a little hum which is good.
Used this on my 2002 Durango 4.7 - I had to modify it a bit (this muffler was shorter than my stock muffler and the hangers were welded to the stock muffler itself so that it had to be removed and welded back to the choke). Everything went well in the end, and the 4.7 now has a great sound: a nice hum that doesn't hum at high speeds. Very satisfied.
