Best Kayak Straps

I don't think I've ever written a product review but I've used these straps for years and they are by far the best straps for pretty much anything. I prefer the 9ft as they are perfect for a kayak with no additional tie down. Really reliable, easy to use straps

Pros
  • Great Overall Performance
Cons
  • Not sure

Great for what they were designed for: attaching things to vehicles

They are great for attaching canoes etc to vehicles. They have been in use for many years and are holding up well. After all, they break down over the years, more than ten for me. I'm pretty sure they aren't designed for heavy stuff like 4 wheels.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Everything is great

Great strap at a ridiculous price

I had one like this and needed another set of straps. Try as I might, I couldn't find anything that even came close to matching this one. I still don't understand why they are so damn expensive, but (obviously) I put up with it and paid the price. So. 5 stars for everything but a pound of meat.

Pros
  • Handy piece
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great buy at Car Racks & Carriers

I bought the straps to replace the inexpensive ones I have. This item has two advantages, first, it's easy to tie and untie the kayak, and second, the rubber coating helps protect my machine from the straps. Very easy to use. At first I was hesitant because of the price, but I'm very glad I bought it. Both my car and kayak are much happier with the new straps.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Fits

Perfect for attaching kayaks to the roof

I have replaced all my kayak straps with these blue/yellow kayak straps. These work great. My other straps were very long. These straps are the perfect size with no added length after I attach my kayaks to the machine. The price was quite steep considering it's only straps, but well worth it in the end. quality product. highlighted.

  • Best
Cons
  • Expensive

Be sure to order the right length!

I took the 9 inch version without thinking or seeing that there are longer sizes. The 9ft version does not fit my canoe. I suspect they were made for kayaks, I have mixed feelings on how to treat them. As such they suck to me, but if they were longer they would (should) work fine. Going back to the old fashioned ratchet straps and be careful with the metal on the straps. They fit in a belt pouch. Disappointed but it's my fault I guess.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Best kayak straps on the market

I bought these to replace my old identical ones that were falling apart. The rest were about 10 years old. When you turn the machine to the other side, the rubber tip prevents damage. I am not aware of any other bracelet with this function. The cost is higher than other straps, but the quality is better. I have other brands that I bought to save money. But they are thinner and don't have a protective rubber tip.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far

I love her! for Car Racks & Carriers

Before I bought Thule straps I used regular straps with these hooks (don't know exactly what they're called). The hooks didn't quite match my posts so I was always nervous about leaving them attached. Then I came across these Thule straps. I love her! They are more than long enough and stay taut once secured. Due to the size of my small kayak and small car, I can go around the bar twice (yes, not enough!). They're expensive compared to the hooks you can buy at Walmart, but once you have them…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • don't remember but there was something

I have been using these straps for over 5 years now. They cost a little more than average and the technique that makes them better is simple. However, nobody else has considered these simple common sense design aspects. It seems like only Thule employees have ever actually used their product enough to design it well. 1)Each side of the strap is easily distinguishable from the other along its entire length, letting you know if it is twisted or upside down. 2) The cam teeth are asymmetrical to…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
