Well made and light weight

I have a large one for my 22-1/2" head and it fits great. I really like how the velcro attaches so the spiky side never does visible to keep my hair from tangling or sticking to other fabrics. There are vent holes at the top so I don't have to cut them.(I have a thicker one for colder water).

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great fit, no blisters, perfect for any dive

This is a great accessory to wear on any dive. Provides the perfect amount of warmth in any water temperature, I wear them every time I dive into warm or cold water. Obviously in colder northern winter waters you will need a thicker neoprene hood but this cap is simply superb for holiday comfort and three season diving. Never bubbled (aerated). It's been a few years and it's getting more and more popular!

Pros
  • Great value for money
Cons
  • Operating speed

Kovabanga! - water sports

What a great product! With this on my head I was able to ride the surf at full power during the reverse tide. Once I figured out the concept of the double velcro chin strap that secures the hat to my head, it worked great. I was embarrassed wearing a swim cap but I think it was a very cool addition and made me look like a very serious swimmer. A guy on the boardwalk said I even wear a 'helmet' (during COVID)! I will not leave home on vacation unless it is packed in my luggage. Excellent!

Perfect for fall and early winter swimming

Winter swimming in Austin can be tough. A wetsuit is too much when swimming in spring water with a temperature of 65-68 degrees. But a regular swim cap may not be enough to keep you warm. I found this neoprene hat perfect. I'm warm enough that I don't have to wear a wetsuit. The ear is no longer cold. You can adjust the length of the chin strap for comfort. Also, the head is snug enough to keep you warm without being uncomfortable.

No more "ice cream headaches " from swimming in cold water

I swim every day for a workout in our unheated pool (bathing suit only). When the water temperature dropped to fifty degrees after swimming, I suddenly got a headache. An online search revealed that "ice cream headaches" are common when swimming in cold water. Tried a regular swim cap, silicone, "one size fits all" but it was too tight - so uncomfortable I didn't even use it. Another online search revealed that neoprene hats/hoods are recommended to keep your head warm. The headache stopped the

Excellent hair protection when worn with a swim cap

I don't wear it for warmth, I wear it to keep my silicone cap covered when I swim. I have fine, curly, bleached hair that is fairly damaged and doesn't need the chlorine from the pool water. So there is no risk of my cap popping open. This helps ensure the silicone lid fits snugly enough that it doesn't move around much while swimming. I have unilateral temporomandibular misalignment and the strap is positioned so it doesn't irritate, which is great. + for design. It's definitely warmer than…

LOVE this lightweight neoprene hood for winter swimming

It was hard to find a lightweight neoprene hood without a visor attached. I love this little 1mm thick hood. In the winter I'm a weak swimmer, but I keep moving and the water is best for me. (I used to be an avid runner but 2 ankle surgeries mean nothing) I love swimming and it's good for my ankle! I use earplugs, wear a swimming cap and pull a hood over it. It's a great way to keep warm after a 45 minute workout without the chafing of a jacket, vest or wetsuit. My hair doesn't stay dry, but…

comfortable, warm, even good for walking the dog

Well, my package was delivered in the pouring rain in the evening, just as I was about to walk our dog. The temp was in the mid 60's (F) so I decided to give it a try! I put it on for a long walk and kept my head warm and dry in a long rain. It was pretty crowded but not uncomfortable so I'm looking forward to a weekend of swimming. A downside to rain is that it doesn't have edges, so water drips onto your face, but that's not really what it's designed for. And unbeatable for the price! Day 2 –
