Excellent solution for stripped threads.

This thread repair kit is perfect for anyone working on automotive projects. The Big Sert 5112D solves the problem of stripped threads with ease and precision. It's oversized compatibility ensures that it can fix even the toughest of threads making it a reliable tool to have in your toolbox. The pros outweigh the cons, but the only downside is that the kit might be a bit pricey for some users. Overall, a great investment for any mechanic or car enthusiast looking for a reliable and easy-to-use…

Pros
  • Strong and durable threads that can withstand high levels of torque
Cons
  • Only available in black

This is not a $500 extended drill and tap set, but the drill is 84.3mm from shank to tip, which is exactly the depth required to drill to install in a Subaru block . Insert 30mm. To get the faucet working I simply used a chrome bushing and an extension cord to fit the hole. I then used a slightly larger drill bit and drilled a 54.3mm hole to open the hole a little more, this gave room for the protrusion on the insert.

Pros
  • This kit was originally made for some Nissan blocks where the head bolts started at the top of the block. You can use short tools.
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price
