The light is always there to see obstacles in the dark.

This is a great watch for everyone but maybe especially for the elderly like me (86). I love being reminded of the day of the week and the number of the month just in case. The timing is very precise. I love the red second hand and how it jumps forward every second. (I can't hear the tick unless I put it to my ear.) As an engineer and artist, I find it very modern and functional, and easy to read at a glance without clutter. What is very important to me: If I have to get out of bed in the dark,

Watch works on wristwatch

Light works great, dial and hands are very easy to read. The watch is relatively thin and that's what I was looking for. The weak point is the design of the day and date mechanism, which is embedded in a very small cutout on the dial. It appears to run on a purely mechanical system with a rotating dial, similar to the old automatic odometer. The only control to set and adjust is through the stock of pre-digital clocks and is difficult to control. Changing the day/date setting is accomplished…

Affordable day-ate watch that looks twice the price

This watch is my replacement for a Seiko automatic watch with a date and day of the week display. Even though Timex watches are relatively cheap, I still needed the watch to look good and show the day of the week and date. Reading the reviews I was concerned that the flexible metal bracelet might be too small but it turned out to be ok and I even had to remove one of the thin links. It also has a nice indigo light which my Seiko doesn't have. As for battery life. I have no idea. Here are a few…

Excellent easy to read dial even in the dark!

I am a woman but I like the larger face of this men's watch, not too big and not too small. It has a white background with black numerals and a red second hand. The best part for me is that while it's analog (which I prefer), it has rotating dials for both the day of the week and the date, which is pretty hard to find these days. The dial also lights up (indiglo function) when you press the watch's single stem, which is also used to change the time, day of the week and date, giving it a…

  • The list is getting long.

Clean crisp analog watch

The watch comes in a classic black Timex box. The watch is what it looks like. Pretty semi-bright stainless steel model. No cheap plastic that breaks or looks crappy after a few months of wear. I have white hands, the second hand is steel colored. The background is nice and dark with white numbers. Very easy to read. Day and numbers in black. Also easy to read. The flexible band wraps easily around my wrist. It has a well made feel. Not too tight so as not to lose. Looks high quality…

Perfect Watch: Watch

I've worn thousands of dollars worth of most major Swiss brands but I always end up going back to my Easy Reader. I'm not saying they have a unique in-house production mechanical movement, a handcrafted case, or details that need to be appreciated under a magnifying glass, but for what the watch is meant to do, it's perfect. No matter how much money I've spent on watches, I've never been able to find the right combination of comfort, durability, precision, and clarity that the Easy Reader has…

Pros
  • Consistent test results

best value for money

First let me clarify a few things about my experience with this watch versus the reviews.1. This watch fits my wrist perfectly, I'm by no means a kid, I'm a 6ft 3,230lb male with a fairly thick wrist. It feels perfect on my wrist, it feels like it's barely there but it holds its place on my wrist and it's nowhere near fully extended, but it doesn't dangle either. 2. Instructions, you mean which instructions? the one it comes with just talks about its water resistance in about 7 different…
