Rear Wheel Hub and Bearing - Timken HA590253 Review

I thought they were made in the USA, turns out the packaging says Made in Korea. Even so, my mechanic told me to buy Timken bearings and not any other brand. I swapped both C-pillars at the same time, one was easy to disassemble, the other was a bit more difficult, but it still went well. Great seller - great fast shipping.

I buy my own auto parts because I can get them cheaper than our mechanic can get them through my local parts store. I have trusted Timken bearings after using them on the job repairing a boiler feed pump. I've used them on several different cars, some installed by me and others by our mechanic. Installation went smoothly, they work better than stock and I will continue to buy Timken products.

The hub bearing I was sent is defective. There is an internal click when rotating the hub by hand. Not smooth as it should be. Either the inner ball bearing is defective, the bearing race is not machined properly, or there are (most likely) foreign objects inside. Very poor quality control. It took me 10 seconds to find this issue and Timken QC couldn't? Timken used to be great. What happened? If installed, it will no doubt fail after 10,000 miles.
