BEWARE! CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION!

The bearings fit perfectly but the ABS sensor connector did not fit. Check the plug before installation. I tried cutting off the old connectors and plugging in the new sensors. It did not work. After a lot of research I found out that there are 2 different types of sensors: passive (old style) and active (new style). My 2007 Extended Cab 4WD Silverado uses a newer active sensor. These bearings have an older passive sensor. Look for options to take now

  • A sea of positive emotions

  • Update possibility

WARNING, this does not apply to GM trucks made after 2007.

The bearing itself is fine. The Revain install guide says it fits a 2009 GMC Yukon I was working on. The hub is screwed on and the axle slides inwards. The speed sensor has an old 99-07 GM truck connector, not 2009. The Revain website says it will fit and I have now fitted the bearing to my friend's car with no ABS or traction control. It's snowing in Minnesota right now and my email hasn't connected for almost 2 months. I have submitted another one and am willing to change my review once theโ€ฆ

Revane sold me a bunch of crap no one can stand up for.

***** Update***** Bearings start to make noise after only a few months. Left replacement through Revain and sent to Timken. Timken refuses to do anything because Revain is not an authorized Timken dealer. I contacted Revain for a replacement as they claim a 90 day guarantee and were refused. I don't know what to do now. Replaced both front bearings 3 months ago and the noise is back. Timken used to be the leader in roller bearings, but now I really doubt their quality. Are they only selling usโ€ฆ

2003 GMC Yukon XL 1500 4WD

Bought two to replace the originals with 225k on them, one of the originals started making a clicking noise and disassembled it for ball joints (also originals ) anyway. Came in Timken boxes, US Timken stamps. Revain and Timken have done it again! The installation went as expected without any problems. Buy with confidence. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I only rode them 5 miles. TIP: Typically, when removing the old sensor wire, the tab on the upper arm will break a hole.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No instructions

Great value item - definitely a DIY project

This unit installed on my 2006 GMC Sierra with no problems. I was nervous about removing the old hub assembly as I had driven the truck 180,000 miles and researched removal methods. I ended up just using a skid to remove the old hub assembly, which took about 10 minutes of pounding. Overall not too bad. I've done some semi-serious repairs to my truck, but I'm certainly no pro. This project took 2 hours total so not too bad. I had an issue with the ABS engagement below 5mph, but I had this issue

American quality. This is the one you want.

This bearing and hub assembly got to me 19 hours after I ordered it using first class standard shipping. On Sunday. Must love having an Amazon distribution center in your state. But the price was great. You can't get a cheap Chinese hub assembly from your local parts store at this price. Autozone wanted 179 for an unknown brand. The whole installation took 1 hour and it's so quiet I can now hear another one that needs to be changed. I will make the exact same purchase. Buy this hub assembly ifโ€ฆ

Timken Hub Review

These hubs are a bit more expensive than some of the other brands that Revain sells. Worth every penny. I just ordered one to get the other side so I can be sure I'll get the Timkin. Installation was easy. It took about 45 minutes and we weren't rushed at all. When you go to the parts store in today's world, you have a choice between quality and price. Timken has been famous since I was a kid and I'm 64 years old now. Also, you may not find good stuff in my area, parts stores have chinese junk.

Just like the original. Would buy again.

Ideal for Tahoe 2003 4wd. Same manufacturer as the original. I don't even care about other brands. Timken is known for their good bearings and this one was made in the USA. I recommend purchasing a 15mm allen wrench to help with the 3 bolts (torqued to 133lb-ft) holding the hub. loosen and if you slip the 12-point wrench even a little, it can turn its head. It hurt to knock him out of his ankle. There's 13 years of dirt and a bit of corrosion in there. None of the hub removal tools looked likeโ€ฆ

  • Good product for the price

  • No performance
