Not bad but not great for percussion instruments

The heads are a good size, affordable and work well with hand tools but do not handle heavy impact loads well. I wore out the triple square splines on the M10 socket to the point that they were almost useless in a two day VW repair.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Great Design, Low Profile, Small Differences Make the Biggest Impact

These amazing things. The design gives you a little more space than the XZN bat silver rosettes. The fact that it's a solid piece gives them the ability to fit into tighter spaces with a lower profile than other XZN bits. I have a German car and they are needed for odd jobs.

  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Getting Trouble

I bought and received a set and started using.

Bought and received a set, started using. The other day I had to use a size M8, only to find out that the bit labeled M8 isn't really M8, it's labeled M6. So now I have 2 M6 bits, one with M6 and the other with M8. I tried to make a trade with Revain but I couldn't because I bought it too long ago. When you purchase this set please make sure you have all the required bits.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Protection

Another quality set from Titan

First time I had to use triangular bits. Overall I'm very impressed with the quality of these drum bits and I'm glad I chose the Titan set. Sizes M10 - M14 held their edges very well with repeated use of my impact wrench and the low profile definitely helps get into those tight spots! I have several titanium tools and they are all very well made. I would say their quality is on par with most OTC tools I own, but only a few times cheaper.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Worked on 14 VW Jetta

I used these on the mk6 VW Jetta - 14mm to remove the caliper and 18mm to remove the rear hub. I had to re-tighten it with 133 ft-lbs of torque plus 180 degrees and the 18mm fit. The heads have three different drive sizes: 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2. The largest have a round hole rather than solid ones on the triple square side. Is it tamper protection or is it just a manufacturing artifact? I didn't want this, thinking it might make them weaker for the heavy torque I had to apply, but they did.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!

Must have if you work for Volkswagen

I had to purchase this kit to replace the belts and tensioners on my 2009 VW Jetta 2.5L. I bought a longer and standard triple square bit set but there was no way to fit the ratchet and bit between the car frame and the bolts that hold the standard pulleys and tensioner. Even with the short set, I still had to use a special thin serpentine strap wrench with short bits to get between the bolts and the car frame to loosen the bolts. VW is too cluttered and difficult to work with! I will never buy

breaks easily in hand tools

Absolute rubbish, don't be fooled by 5 star reviews. I bought these to disassemble a two piece set of wheels. These literally lasted 1 wheel and shot through the teeth. They rounded out completely and began to destroy the studs. Great deal but not for the quality. I wouldn't recommend it, you'd better just buy a higher quality one which is actually pretty durable. They say they are good for percussion, I've used them with hand tools and couldn't stand it, I wouldn't like to see what percussion…

Needed 14, worked great

I only really needed 14 but the whole set was cheaper than a bit at the auto parts store and local hardware stores didn't stock them. I didn't use it on impact (God knows I would have used it if I could have placed my impact behind the caliper hangar. Those bolts were incredibly difficult to loosen), but I'm sure it would have worked just fine with one. I don't know how often I'll be using these bits, but at least I have them now and I won't have to put off auto repairs at home for almost a…
