For more than just perfect slices of bread!

Very sharp knife, be careful! I got used to my old dull bread knife and ended up cutting my finger really badly. However, this knife can not only be used for bread. Ideal for cutting meat and vegetables! Initially bought specifically for bread. I started baking my everyday wheat bread instead of spending lots of money at the store for one. My old bread knife didn't "cut" it when it came to slicing my loaves. He ripped the bread instead of slicing it, meaning I was only able to cut thick slices.

Pros
  • Not fit for purpose intended only
Cons
  • No mold required

Truly the best bread knife

Truly the best bread knife ever. I have used many bread knives and none have been as smooth as butter in slicing all types of bread from very crunchy hard crusts to the softest white bread. Besides slicing bread, it is also very good at slicing meat without squeezing out all the juice. out, as well as tomatoes and even semi-frozen meat (do not use completely frozen meat, it most likely will not work or you can damage the blade). I use it for many tasks in the kitchen that require cuttingโ€ฆ

"razor sharp " - that's for sure. Handle with care.

I have expensive Shun and Wรผstof knives and am amazed at the incredible value of this knife. I haven't cut myself with a kitchen knife in decades, but I did cut my finger washing it right out of the box. I didn't even know about it until I saw the red spots in my bowl. Without a doubt, this is the only knife I have ever owned that is truly "razor sharp". I finally found the perfect bread knife for my super crunchy sourdough bread. Haven't tried it with anything other than bread, but I reckonโ€ฆ

Too thin for toasted bread

I have been using this knife for over 2.5 years and am looking for a replacement. I bake a lot of bread. About every couple of weeks, 6 loaves at a time, which I then slice and freeze. That's a lot of post-bake bread slicing and I'm fed up with this knife. It is too weak and requires a lot of strength to cut crusty slices of bread slice by slice, loaf by loaf. I literally have to guide the front of the blade with my finger to keep it straight while cutting. It just doesn't "cut" (Ha!). Anywayโ€ฆ

Terribly sharp knife worthy of its price

A good product given the low cost of the knife. I was hoping that the blade would be a bit heavier and more stable, but I wasn't expecting that for the price. It's very thin, the blade bent a bit the first time I used it, even though it only cut through a fresh bun. Another thing, be careful how spicy it is. I sliced the steak very thin to make a gravy sandwich. I am very careful and will never cut myself, I usually keep my hands away from the blade. But this time I didn't slice it very thinโ€ฆ

Whippy, sharp and light; Installed Workhorse Pro Sandwich

This bread and tomato knife is our new kitchen favorite at the great bar I work at in Las Vegas. I've had it for over two weeks now and all the positive feedback here is solid; This knife has seen a lot of use in the professional kitchen with impressive results. This bread scoop has three all-important details that you'll either love or hate. This is chopped knife liver. "It's whisper light, the exact opposite of heavy, and weighs more than the wing of a taped hummingbird (well, noโ€ฆ

Edged Rolls on Crispy Bread

I purchased this based on reviews which were at the top of many lists. I'm making sourdough bread and needed a serrated cutting knife. I've seen several videos of reviewers slicing crispbread and lightly cracking the crust. My other knives would just ricochet. This blade does cut, but the blade is also thin and therefore I cannot recommend this knife for thick crust bread. The sharp knives rolled hard and I am deeply concerned that small pieces of metal will be left behind. Cutting two loavesโ€ฆ

Fragile and light

I was a little hesitant about buying this bread knife. It just seemed too good to be true. $20 and with great reviews. Well it was too good to be true. This knife is extremely thin and light (it weighs just over 100g compared to other bread knives like the Victorinox rosewood knife which weighs almost twice as much). The blade has a menacing flexibility. . . the level of flexibility you would expect from a flexible boning knife, but with very brittle steel. It struggled to slice artisanalโ€ฆ

This knife looks great and works even better!

I recently got rid of all my old Chinese made knives. It took me a lot of time and a lot of research to find this bread knife that is made in Japan and also reasonably priced. I was expecting it to work more or less like my old bread knife, but WOW! I realized how crappy my old knife was. I bake a lot of bread, so unlike most people, I use my bread knife every day. This knife is really sharp and holds its edge well; It's so good I can slice bread half the width I used to (no exaggeration!). Myโ€ฆ
