These amazing drawing pens are hard to beat. I keep mine very sharp, but no matter how hard I squeeze, they never break. Pencils produce excellent gradations from light gray to jet black, and a sharp pencil is able to capture some outstanding detail. Excellent crayons. They have a good line and the graphite doesn't break as easily as many of the others I've used. As good as the pens are, I really like the included eraser. Tombow Mono pencils are great. In fact, all Tombow pencils are great, but Mono is one of their lines specifically designed for drawing and they do well for that. The leads are strong even with soft pencils and you can sharpen them to very sharp points without breaking them in the sharpener. One odd thing is that the set contains a range from 6B to 2H, but jumps from HB to 2H without an H pencil; So keep that in mind if for whatever reason you really need an H-hardness pencil. I bought them, as did Faber-Castell pencil 9000 Design Pencil bought them mainly because they were considered darker and came with the 6B. First, they weren't sharpened like the 9000, which some people might prefer, but I have.
