They are so beautiful and VERY sharp but after a few (maybe 3) washes in the dishwasher rust spots are appearing on them the reason I've been looking for a new set of knives I'm not sure if that will happen if you hand washing them, probably not, but I don't have the patience for that. them, but the return window is closed.

These knives are made for sex in the kitchen. But less cumbersome and messy. They are amazingly sharp, much sharper than old knives from Walmart or other big department stores. The price for it is huge given the sleek looks and performance. The covers are wonderful! I can keep them in a drawer without fear of ruining them. These knives are well balanced and light weight which is what I need. I chop and slice a lot of meat and my hands and arms get tired easily. These knives aren't very expensive, but I think that's because they don't last very long. After about 3 or 4 uses you will need to resharpen it or at least sharpen it on a wet stone or with what I use, a portable hand knife sharpener. Ok I came back after owning them for a year to say they are 10 stars out of five. LAUGH OUT LOUD. They stay sharp when expensive knives need constant sharpening. Big Santoku is awesome. Each knife is used often. And when we have people who love to cook, they grab it within days. The fact that we can wash them in the dishwasher is an even bigger asset.
