The only downside to this flat iron is that it breaks easily if dropped and the makeup stores in my area don't stock them anymore. When I was a teenager I bought this straightener from a local pharmacy and I liked the thick plates. I'm happy to report that this hair straightener hasn't changed. My hair isn't necessarily thick, but there is a lot of it and it's about shoulder length. He also has a wave. It takes me about 10 minutes to thoroughly straighten my hair after blow drying it fully.
