🔧 IRWIN Tools VISE-GRIP 11-inch Long Reach Diagonal Pliers in Blue (1773389) Review

I am a tool user and collector. These extra long side cutters are poorly made. The halves of [2] are not aligned on the outside. The cutting blades fit, so I kept them. I cannot recommend these cutters.

Ordered these Irwin Vise Grip Pliers for our son because his old one needed replacing. He prefers Irwin tools and is very happy with these pliers.

Thought it had straight jaws but they are angled towards the handle making it difficult to get into a deep alcove if there isn't enough room to work. The price is reasonable but I wasn't expecting it.

In the picture of the tool I ordered, the tool had a tip or tip. This point is important and I would never have bought it if I had known that its end was polished. I don't need this tool and it doesn't work for the job I bought it for.

This is an excellent quality tool. I bought the Harbor Freight version as part of a kit a few years ago and loved the levers, but they came loose very quickly. I use it regularly and the quality is much better. The fit and feel are great. I've had them for a year and a half now and they still work great! I highly recommend them.

The dies are nice and sharp and the long handles give you enough leverage to cut through tougher materials. However, the design of other pliers requires you to use 2 hands to cut almost anything. You need to open the handles about 6 inches for the jaws to fully open. It's a little annoying, but typical of this type of big diagonal. The grips are comfortable and the tongs are fairly flimsy considering the overall length and leverage.
