very satisfied with this product. works great, better than others I've had. A problem with some of them is the light behind you, but this helmet isn't as open at the top as most and you can see behind your head without glare. The reaction time when striking the bow is long. creates no blind spots.

I bought this because the welder I got for Christmas came with a very cheap mask. This helmet allows me to work on a project with both hands. A cheap one that I use as a fly swatter. Auto dim works fine, no problems. The darkness wheel and sensitivity wheel are nice to have. It fits my head and face well.

. I have a gritty effect on my eyes from the auto dimming I tried at Harbor Freight. I sent it back and received this one and am very happy with it. The field of view is very large, and even though I do a lot of small welds, the thing reacts quickly and is easy on my eyes until the next day. The helmet attachment to the head could be a bit tighter but so far it's holding tight and tight.

The actual lens in the TOPDC Solar Power Self Darkening Welding Helmet actually works fine, but the body of this helmet is made very, very cheaply. I use a cheat lens for TIG and the holder is so bad that the lens doesn't stay in place. It is almost impossible to straighten the helmet and hold the position. The headband falls out regularly. I do not recommend this product and will definitely not buy again due to the frustration of using it.

So I should have read the reviews before I bought it. The best part is that it is a comfortable headband. Overall I found the Sheild to be a good, comfortable light and a decent price. Then I started using it. Tig-mig flux and stick. Every process I toggled on and off in dark mode blinded me on its own. Smh changed the battery and everything stayed the same. Decided to write a review to save someone from the same problem as me.

I bought this for a welding class thinking I need something economical, nothing major at the moment but am amazed at its quality. It has a spacious window, the instructions are easy to set up, and it's easy to maintain. Fellow students have more expensive face shields, but this one really competes with theirs. You might want to buy branded batteries, mine run out quickly, but that's a small price to pay. Love how easy it is, my teacher encourages us to set up our shields.

Overall I like this welding helmet. It auto-darkens as it should, can be worn over a flat-face respirator, and the headgear has many adjustments to accommodate any head size and shape. The only thing I don't like is how the helmet holds up when you pick it up. It uses a ratchet to hold the hood up, unlike most other hoods which move smoothly until they click into place. I used this product for about 10 minutes after receiving it in the mail. It worked perfectly, so I ordered a second one that same evening. Already the next day I cooked for 20 minutes before realizing that the mask has not darkened and I see light spots! I sent a message to the company who suggested turning the dough. I've already removed the batter and put it back in to see the low battery indicator come on and then go away, no test functions work. So this battery has a lifespan of 3 years and

This is good value for money (it's cheap) as many people say. Bought because of the large lens. But the helmet itself is small. Real kid size. It's about 3 inches narrower than most I've used. The headband is a bit flimsy and flimsy. Complaints about headgear abound with most inexpensive helmets.
