Unreliable Mount for Sports Cyclists

The Topeak Alt Position Cage Mounts failed to meet my expectations despite the promising marketing. The mount didn't stay in place throughout my ride, causing my water bottle to fall out numerous times. The only positive aspect was the ease of installation. As an avid sports cyclist, it's frustrating to have equipment that doesn't withstand the demands of the outdoors.

Required for small frames

Topeak cage adjuster provides alternative fixed length positions for bottle cages which is invaluable for small frames. It comes in a pair at an affordable price, which is excellent. Topeak normally makes quality products so I have no doubt they will stand the test of time. It would be easy to give 5 stars, but the fixed offset in length (32mm) up or down may not be for everyone. Variable length would be much better. Then I think the controller is adding too much height. They definitely could…

Adds clearance needed for larger bottles.

Just what I need to give me the freedom I need to carry two 32oz bottles of Nalgene on my bike transport. Before this part was found and installed, the bottles were in contact with each other and would not allow the bottle to slide fully into the cage on the downtube. Now they are both fully cooped up and grooming each other well. The bracket is easy to mount with the screws provided, fits well and makes a nice and stable impression.
