Wonderful Jack in Jacks

Arrived early, . but was damaged. One of the handles was hit, cracked and bent. Well damn it. maintainable. Otherwise .just great. I'm glad I don't have to rent anymore. This block will also come in handy for other projects. My transmission is attached to my transfer case, so ratchet straps were required to hold it securely on the jack. I didn't have any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. good unit!

Great Jack, fast delivery, terrible handling.

This jack was delivered today. I will update the review if necessary. Welds look good; everything in one box. The delivery was very fast, 4 days early. On the other hand, the crate looked mangled and battered to the point where two rollers were sticking out of the crate. Aside from a few scratches and small dents, everything looks good for a jack. The chains look cheap, I would suggest buying stronger chains if you plan on using them.

Unstable for large gearboxes

The construction of this jack is good. However, the parts are cheap and easily broken. Not recommended for use on Allison transmissions or larger. This thing almost killed me. Jacked up the gearbox, had to say 1/8 inch to line up the keys and the damn thing broke, threw the gearbox aside and flipped the whole jack. Almost wrecked a $15,000 gearbox built. If you are going to use this. the entire base separately and use nuts instead of the cheap chinese washers provided. They are literally…

Please check before use!

Be sure to check the angle adjustment nuts. I was about to remove the gearbox from my F450 and a cheap lock nut fell off causing the gearbox to tip over like a son of a bitch. And almost hit me. If you know what I mean. Thank god I chained him up and was able to untie him on the side. It was pretty dangerous if you ask me. Also ensure that bearings are installed on both sides of the angle adjustment shaft. I missed her on the one hand. I didn't notice because 4 goals were set instead. With a…

Works great, sometimes takes a little longer.

Works great, sometimes it takes a little force to rotate the platform with the gear mounted on it, but if I help a little by pushing the gear to move the weight I get it still works fine all the way. The only other advice I have is that putting your hands on the top of the platform is very stupid. Do yourself a favor and wear them underneath. This makes it much easier to use. Use a rag spread over the platform to keep the trance from slipping. I've been a Trans R+R for over 15 years and it's…

Fantastic Jack works best on car lifts, lifts and jacks

After using a standard jack and encountering more problems than I could ever imagine, I decided to try a tool that was developed for this job. . Thorin Jack completely filled the account. Although the cradle is more suitable for automation, I constructed a wooden cradle that conforms to the standard. I used ratchet straps to secure it, not the chains that came with the jack, just couldn't figure out how they might work. The only downside was that the incline adjustment was very difficult to use

I almost broke my arm when a cheap washing machine broke!

I almost broke my arm when the cheap washing machine broke! I was impressed with what appeared to be a quality product. Nice finish, good welds, easy to maneuver under the weight of a fairly small powertrain. Then I heard a loud bang, the gearbox fell to the right and then stopped. My hand was on the control knob, but I released it quickly and thankfully in time. As the transmission slammed to the right, it stalled on the throttle. The cause was a cheap 25 cent washer that broke (gave) and…

Great tool for the money

Well the jack arrived in a rather torn box (as mentioned in many other reviews). In addition, the jack itself was very clean and fully assembled. I was a little surprised at how clean it was considering I bought a little used. I found the chain quite cumbersome to use, so I actually decided not to use anything to jack the gearbox to the jack (a bit risky, but I made sure to keep one hand on the gearbox while lifting it) . However, if I really needed a way to attach the transmission to the jack,
