Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

There are no alternatives in the 14+ category. Because it is better than its competitors in terms of its main parameters. In short, I really liked the disc, I bought 6 pieces. But the price. Has pros: 1. Relatively quiet, at least in the 10 + TB category, the best in this regard. 2. Relatively cold. 3. The cheapest in relation to competitors of the same capacity in our market. Some cons: 1. Despite the fact that it was the cheapest, the price is still wild.

Available for use 12.7 TB from 14 TB

After setting it up in Disk Management as a Master Boot Record (MBR) and formatting it as a single partition (NTFS), there is = 12.7TB available (NOT 14TB), but that's more than I need right now = ) Everything Else was as expected = fast 7200 rpm, quiet operation, standard hard drive bay size, good price. I recommend it to friends!

Great value for money

If you need 14TB of hard drive storage for whatever reason, get this drive, it's great value for money and works well. It is best used on PCs with GPT (GUID Partition Table) support, most of which were built within the last 5-7 years, as it allows you to take full advantage of all 14TB instead of dividing them into 2TB partitions partition. due to MBR limitations. It's a bit noisy when accessed, though, so while it's fine for most settings, it's not the best choice for a media center. For other

The hard drive failed after 3 months

I bought this hard drive based on previous reviews. Worked fine from the start, but now after about 3 months the hard drive has a lot of errors and sometimes won't boot. I bought a lower capacity Toshiba about a year ago and had similar issues except much sooner after purchase so I returned the drive and went with a WD hard drive and it works great as does the rest of my WDs and most of my hard drives. I guess I'm slow to buy this drive as I've had issues with Toshiba before, but Toshiba isn't…

Great product but nothing is perfect

I have or have had 5 of these devices + 3 16TB models. Overall, I have to admit that I'm happy with them, but I had a "bad" result. I put "bad" in quotes because the Synology software ejected it from the volume and said it needs to be replaced, even though the disk statistics listed it as healthy. When I called their support team, they told me that the drive had one of the indicators that the drive was about to fail. I couldn't risk my data. So I bought a 16TB to replace while waiting for the…

truck seats! Time will tell the effectiveness of the work

This is an important update for me. I bought these to match a custom build I just made and I got two of them, one for my media and files, the other for backup. Toshiba's drives look solid and I'm glad I invested in them. Seagate hard drives were the next option since they were cheaper and all, but given their reputation, it's better to be safe than sorry. These drives were the "Enterprise" version, so I'm sure they'll serve me well for a while until my needs change. After formatting it's around

I *think* these are new rims.

This type of list often raises the question of whether you are buying new or refurbished drives, which makes a big difference in the life expectancy of the drive. They appear to be new. I bought two of these from SabreTech in late March 2020. They arrived quickly, packed in plastic beds but without anti-static bags. The date of manufacture is May 2019. Despite the lack of anti-static bags, I found no evidence that they had ever been used or installed in the system (screw holes clean, SATA and…

Good with old Mac! No problem to use.

I'm reorganizing my backup system and trying to save space in my safe, I'm using it as a backup drive for 4 other drives housed in the Mac Pro (Early 2009). I put it in a Startech toaster style SATA hard drive bracket. It spun and then I got a dialog saying the drive could not be read and needed to be formatted (which is normal for a new drive on a Mac). I used Disk Utility to first erase the drive and then create 4 different sized partitions for the different drives I wanted to back up: an SSD

14TB Yummy for internal hard drives

I bought this drive to use in my high performance desktop computer (home) mainly to store time lapse raw image files. The drive was packaged in an anti-static bag inside a form-fitting airbag (see image) that itself fits snugly to the box, providing the utmost protection when transporting fragile hard drives. Upon opening it, I immediately began a battery of stress tests before plugging the drive into my computer. I first ran a 24 hour continuous random seek test (see figure) which showed an…
