My 07 4 runner's old lift gate latch was failing. Had to replace. This one was not the most expensive one available so i picked it to save a few bucks. Replacement was pretty easy, unscrew the pull down strap assembly, unsnap the door panel, all the window down. (Disconnect the negative battery cable! Part was a direct replacement for the Toyota factory part. Install is relatively easy and takes about 30 minutes. If your rear door is not opening or closing automatically, this will likely fix it.

I ordered this item for my brother. He told me that he installed it and it seemed to be working just fine. Do not buy waste of money and doesn’t let you return.
