Low Tech = High Reliability

Used to control an attic exhaust fan. Turns on when Cooling ONLY setpoint is exceeded. Oddly enough, the instructions in the box for a number of different T-Stat models were for heating. Worried they sent me the wrong item but it worked as intended. Solidly built, like the old stuff. There are no digital things to break

Designed and made with good materials. not thin and not light. Works great with a ceiling exhaust fan used to dissipate the heat generated by the two refrigerators in the pantry. The only downside is the degree range between on and off... The setting of the switch-on temperature is accurate, but the temperature range from on to off seems a bit wide. Good simple rough controller.

This "thermostatic" switch serves as a rough temperature control for an evaporative cooler. We are in our 70's, a couple living in the (hot) San Joaquin Valley of California. Without this device, we'd be pacing quite often to turn the roof cooling on and off to keep the house temperature within an acceptable comfortable range. When this unit is set at around 72 degrees Fahrenheit, we find it works well at around four degrees, or between 70 and 74 degrees. Note: The night temperature outside…
