I had an oil leak on my Lexus ES300 and used this paint to find the problem. This works really well but I didn't use the date/mileage sticker to remind you that paint was used and when I changed the oil all the engine oil was green antifreeze. I thought I blew the head gaskets and did head gaskets because I didn't remember using paint. Fun but time consuming and expensive.

Product worked great. Unfortunately, I found that I had to replace the front oil seal on my engine. I added a full bottle (1 ounce) to a Toyota 3.4 engine. I ran the engine for 5 minutes and used black light and UV goggles to take a look. I could see oil leaking around the front pulley, running down the front of the oil pan, and then dripping from the drain plug.

I used this item to find an engine oil leak. I filled 1 bottle and was able to find, fix and control the oil leak within a few days. When I added this dye my oil was new so the dye stood out. Maybe a week or so after I added the color it stopped showing under UV light. So you may need to use more if your oil is dirty. Therefore there are no 5 stars. I used 2 different types of UV bulbs: 10W 365 and 10W 395. Both illuminated the dye the same way. The only difference was that the 365 worked…
