Handling and Steering

Most tractor units are very difficult to steer and balance. It is compact and handy for my boat and trailer in a small space. I finally found it. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works best on hard surfaces but moves too slowly over long distances.

Works great on hard surfaces. When I first used it to put my trailer in a gravel floor shed there was a lot of gravel/rock that got into the rails and destroyed the plastic drive wheels. I bought it in late July and in mid-November the price is $2,000 off.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Transparency film

no reaction to damage?

I sent a request to the warranty department on the website and I didn't get a response. The gravel hit the track and ripped off part of the drive wheel. Works perfectly. Minor traction issue on rough gravel bumps but no RVR error. The caterpillar tried to get in on a sharp turn, but managed well - it just looked wrong. A lot of money for a little booger, but it works. I want it to turn around without moving forward or backward. Must move to turn. Spins a dime with one track moving forward and…

  • Amazing

  • High price

Great idea but not ready for market

Looks sturdy rather heavy. I have no doubt that this unit can tow a very heavy trailer. However, this only works on smooth surfaces such as concrete or asphalt. A solid surface is absolutely necessary to get the required resistance to movement. It's simple engineering and I'm an engineer and contractor. The gravitational drag under the machine is insufficient when operating on grassy mud or gravel. It seemed to work great on concrete, but all my followers are on gravel, so it's completely…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not bad but not great

Trailer cannot be pushed onto leveling blocks

Bought a 9000 lb unit (RVR-9) to move a 5000 lb trailer (Flagstaff 22FBS). It could move a trailer on level ground, but it couldn't push a trailer onto 1-inch leveling blocks, which are about as small as it gets. Even on perfectly smooth tarmac, he just couldn't gain traction. Even more worrying. However, the buttons on the remote are weak and stick easily - meaning you release them and the RVR keeps moving. I literally nearly pushed the trailer off a cliff because it kept moving and not…
