Description of TrailMax Original Saddlebags

SADDLEBAGS –We have shortened the distance between the saddle bags to ensure that they will not hang down on the horse's flank & put weight in an awkward position. The saddle bags have grommets on each side for saddle strings, & secure to the front rigging with quick release attachment straps. DIMENSIONS: 14"H x 6"D x 12"W (approx. 792 cubic inches per side). CANTLE BAG – The detachable cantle bag has compression straps to keep cargo in the from shifting; the straps can be used without the cantle bag to secure a rain slicker or bedroll. It is easy to pack & unload & compresses to a lower profile when not fully loaded. DIMENSIONS: 22"L x 10"H x 10"D (approx. 1980 cubic inches). PREMIUM MATERIALS – Our TrailMax Saddlebags are constructed from double-stitched 600-denier polyester. Both bags have heavy duty zippers & are reinforced at all wear points with webbing. EASY CLEAN UP – Like all our TrailMax products, our Original Saddlebags are machine washable & dryable. After removing the liners these can be washed in warm or cold & line or machine dried on low. ORIGINAL TRAILMAX DESIGN by OUTFITTERS SUPPLY – We design, field test & regularly use the equipment that we offer & we routinely introduce new products to better meet the needs of trail riders, packers & outfitters.

Barely Adequate Saddlebags

These saddlebags can barely handle a short hike. The straps are too weak and the material tears easily. They may work for a casual stroll, but are not durable enough for serious Sports and Outdoors use..

I expect the metal to be more durable for what these backpacks are designed for.

Used for the first time on an 8 day trip. On the first day the strap broke right out of the side saddlebag. ... The clasps and D rings are plastic I would have expected metal to have more strength for what these bags are intended for After struggling for 8 days with the plastic clasps of the top packaging I was very disappointed .Obviously I can't return them as they were well used but I would consider that when looking for saddlebags.I will be taking them to a specialty shop for repair now…
