Confusing. for computers and accessories

I have a small box full of SD and memory cards. All of those old SD cards work in my new MacBook Air. They work flawlessly and instantly every time I plug them into my computer's memory card port. The problem is that the memory cards don't fit snugly against the edge of the computer. They stick out about half an inch, making it difficult to carry the Mac in my backpack. This product does not work with my MacBook. I have followed the instructions. I downloaded and installed the bulky outdated…

Great temporary solution

1. Make sure you order the right size according to the product information. Don't guess - actually check.2. Don't expect anything special to happen after dragging it in. It's just there and ready to use.3. Don't expect much from the JetDrive Toolkit. Aside from turning the sleep function on and off, I'm not sure this is very useful.4. Do not store your photo library on this drive. According to the website, this is a bad idea. Store other things. Like games! 5. It is difficult to remove because…

Convenient solution, but note usage and format!

This is a very handy solution to extend your MacBook Pro Retina invisibly and invisibly. I've had the 128GB card for over a year now and I'm very happy with it. I put my photo library and documents on it. It was solid and the power was sufficient for things I can't complain about. However, I have just upgraded to the 256GB version of this card. I noticed a very strange thing when copying data from a 128GB card to a 256GB card. First the data was copied from the 128 GB card to my internal SSD…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Big and chunky

I've been using my MacBook Pro (Retina 13" Early 2015) continuously for 2.5 months now. It fits snugly on the rim so I don't have to worry about it getting bumped or messed up. There were times when it seemed like it would "eject unexpectedly," but not often, and it might just be a Mac. It seems to keep popping up, so I didn't have to take it out and put it back in (or remount it in Disk Utilities). It can be a little tricky to get out, but it has little flanges to stick your nails in to get…

Many Factors!: Memory Card Accessories

Disclaimer: No Mac user has purchased SD media (and all forms, SDHC, SDXC, etc.) or really ALL flash media for a Windows laptop. Best-case layout: High-performance USB 3.0 READER media (external in almost all cases), High-performance USB 3.0 bus, USB 3.0 bus device only, USB 3.0 bus route to processor/memory (IE uses direct connection to processor lanes ) as short as possible. Best case results: I was able to get 92-94 MB/s READ (a continuous stream of file data) and 52-54 MB/s WRITE whether it

Great Little Drive - Computers and Accessories

Received it today and haven't used it in a while but first impressions are great. I booted up my Mac Pro, plugged it in and immediately mounted it. I've shut down and restarted my computer or woken from hibernation multiple times and the device mounted and worked properly each time (I know some reviewers have said that it won't mount on wake from hibernation, etc.). This unit is VERY small, smaller than I expected and as others have said when plugged in almost flush to the side of the laptop…

  • This is amazing

  • Good overall but...

Nice little expansion card for the price!

The Transcend Jetdrive Lite is a great option to add to your ever-growing storage needs, especially for MacBooks. The lack of a 256GB model in the early 2015 330 variant of the MacBook Pro is indeed an annoyance, but understandably due to space issues with the chassis of the laptop itself. Try as I've had a bit of trial and error with my Mac (OSX El Capitan) took it to recognize and a few reboots. Luckily I'm running Win 8 Pro in bootcamp on the same computer and Windows recognized the card in…
