Almost useless in protective gear

Because there are only 2 small straps that don't even tighten, these pads ride up when you crouch. knees, but the kneecap slipped off and I landed on my bare knee. They were the closest. Thanks for the knee injury. I am angry. They should have butterfly flaps under the shoulder straps.

at least fit on ice skates, skateboards and scooters

Extremely hard to find adult knee pads for sports. The only knee pad manufacturers seem to want to make big, bulky knee pads for contractors who spend a lot of time on their knees. They are excellent for light sports. I use them when I ride a bike and feel my knees are adequately protected when falling from my typical 10-12mph speed.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Slightly torn

No cushion, unreliable

These knee pads protect your knees terribly. I'm a big fan of 187s because they offer the best protection. I thought they were good for road riding not derby games but I wouldn't even trust a fall on these pads on the road because they are unreliable and slip and there are almost no pads in the knee pads. The only good thing about these pads is that they are thin and not bulky. But I still wouldn't wear them.

  • Quality construction

  • Price piggy bank

They fit the big ones: Protectors

I've started skating again with my wife and kids and being older than me I don't like hurting myself when I fall. I bought these knee pads because I was having trouble finding one that would fit a 6ft 2in male weighing 250lbs. The knee pads don't match the legs because I'm one of those active big guys who go to the gym, run and ski. I'm not just fat. They are good and have protected me in falls. I would have liked more protection, but I'm still satisfied.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • boring packaging

I'm not sure how I feel about this.

I think if I could do it again I wouldn't order them. They seem kind of thin. I will be using them for riding mini ramps so I don't need heavy duty pads but to be honest I'm not sure they will do anything. They just don't have anything special. They're not big and chunky, which can be a good thing, but the straps aren't very comfortable in shorts. They dig into the back of the leg. I think they'll do for a while, but I'll probably improve them at some point. They were cheap so I guess you get…

That should work!

As I have written in other Triple 8 product reviews, I am a big fan of the quality and comfort of skateboard protective gear. These knee pads are pretty basic in terms of quality and durability and will likely do the job if you do take a few falls. But what do you expect for €19, they are significantly less bulky than the KP 22 knee pads and much more comfortable. I'd rather wear something less bulky with a little less protection than not wearing any protective pads at all. I know from my…

Only for the most casual skater.

Didn't know it wasn't a pass until I got it. I would only recommend this for the most casual of amateur skaters. I see them completely slipping off in an accident or high-speed collision. I'm not a fan of pads that don't "break through" because your safety only depends on how tight the straps are to keep the pad secure. I gave them an above average rating anyway because I'm sure they will last forever and protect your knees from falls/low speed falls. However, if you're in a roller derby (which

I've caught several pairs of these. Let someone with decades of skating experience help you figure this out. Sometimes I drive over 30.40 km/h. I have several high quality DH hard shell knee pads and hidden underwear pads. Each has its own purpose. However, as a skater progresses, their need for hard, highly protective pads (and non-aerodynamic bulk) is often replaced with soft pads, often, perhaps silly, with just gliding gloves and a full-face helmet. However, some runs still require hard…
