🔩 Triumph Twist Drill Co- 090522 Precision Drill Bit Review

Long term rating: After 2 years of use I am deducting 2 stars and can say they are normal bits but they don't stay sharp for long. They stay 1/3 times sharper or less compared to Champion HSS bits. The index works fine. However, I have printed out a conversion table between fractions, mm and decimal inches for better use.

Slightly oversize the recommended 1/2" hole for a brass threaded insert if the hardwood (oak) shank could not be threaded into the 1/2" hole. without breaking the insert. Going from 12.7mm (1/2 inch) to 3mm did the trick. Fits 1/2" chuck but barely as it's not scaled down to 1/2" but I figured most power tools are imported/exported and a 13mm chuck size is too easy for other markets.

Index not at all as pictured (see my attached pictures) and my set was missing bit #79 (0.0145). When measured with my micrometer, all bits were accurately timed. Are they really from Triumph Twist Drill Co.? There is no indication of the manufacturer on the packaging, although the envelope that indicated the index indicated that it was made in the USA / France and it had the part number: 090523.
