The top wooden panel for the stairs with the carpet is not connected to the rest of the stairs so I had to glue it. my dog fell It's okay, she wasn't injured, but you should know that this isn't all related.

Step up is ok. The width of the footrest is too narrow and doesn't give our dog (25lb Scotty) enough room to walk up the stairs so she has to jump. This reduced the effectiveness of the aim for the stairs. The product is beautifully designed, has a beautiful appearance and is probably great for small animals.

I have an older cat and a bunk bed. It became difficult for her to jump on the bed and this solved this problem. It looks good and has internal storage which is a nice bonus. However, I had to add a piece of heel pad to the steps to make them more snug. I was afraid that if she steps on the edge, the step might tip over. This does NOT support any adult but is not designed to do so so works great as advertised.

Poorly finished. Best shaky. The ladder isn't even attached to anything. The center of each step feels very thin and collapses when my dog steps on it. My dog is old lab mix, 80 lbs. Definitely not for large dogs, although the description says up to 110lbs. My dog doesn't feel safe and basically refuses to use them, although at this point he's having a really hard time getting up on the bed. :(Maybe suitable for small dogs.

Assembly was a difficult task. I had several people trying to help me, one of those who built the house was trying to screw in one of the steps. Because they pre-drilled a crooked hole, we couldn't line the two pieces together without breaking the wood. So now he's free. Because of this, the back wall doesn't hold up and things that can get on the steps don't stay inside. So the whole thing is frustrating because not being secured makes it wobble and make a loud noise every time. my 9 pound dog

This amazing staircase. I have tried two other brands, the plastic and foam set and my dog hated both. He's a corgi, so he has a long back and short legs and he'll have a hard time using them. They are perfect and he follows them with no problem and no encouragement. They were well packaged, easy to assemble and the storage space is a big plus. Carpet cannot be removed for cleaning in a pet accident. Using an enzymatic carpet cleaner only makes the problem worse because you can't clean the carpet on the steps. I don't think this problem can be solved, so these ladders are useless for my pets at the moment. I ended up using Gorilla Gel Glue to hold the sides together because the nails weren't holding the structure together. I left out the flimsy pressed cardboard backing because it won't stay in place. I am satisfied with the stairs. You are on the small side. However, they are well made. I'm glad it's a real tree. I have a high bed and my servant used a box that I put next to my bed, but he still has ways of jumping to get onto the box and then onto the bed. Now he has arthritis and I know he's in pain.
