Too bad, really. I bought this helmet and broke it IMMEDIATELY. But what I can say for sure is that this helmet does its job very well. It was quite a hard fall due to a miscalculation on my part as I jumped off before my foot was back on the pedal of my mountain bike. It literally had me digging my nose into the ground. 6 Months Update ::: I used my TLD FF every time I skate which is 5 to 7 times a week in the last 6 years. Months. I was concerned about wear or flattening of the cheek pads. They flattened out and got dirty/sweaty. I washed them once and they almost regained their original shape. I bought this in the summer so I wanted it to be light and well ventilated (still the lightest on the market)! It's winter on the US East Coast so I used it up to 15F.
