Works the same as the original hinge. Removing the broken hinge wasn't easy, but putting in a new hinge was easy. I also bought the right side as a backup

This was the correct stainless steel part I was looking for, works very well. The downside is that you have to get your own instructions from truemfg.com. If I just replaced it with the old one, I could find out. But mine had broken parts you could feel. So I couldn't figure out how the "U" ring came about.

This hinge was exactly what I was looking for but the package I received did not contain everything pictured. The top panel originally had a black rectangular gasket and the hinge attached to the door had a rubber washer (2 included in the picture), neither of which came with a replacement. Luckily my local hardware store had a washer and I kept the rectangular washer. Keep all old parts just in case!

The image does not correspond to the product. If you need a left hinge, order a left hinge. If you need a right hand hinge, order the right one. You have the right hinge with the left hinge product number and vice versa. I made the mistake of matching the image to the piece on the door. I should have just ordered based on my first instinct. Thank god I didn't need a special side mount.
