Expensive but best hitch on the market

Works great as I expected. I have a standard F250 4WD and the 5 inches is exactly the height of my car. I use the clutch lock where it fits in the receiver. I understand that the clutch cannot be stolen, but a thief would probably take 3 pins. before realizing that the rest of the clutch could not be removed. The bolts are very good. I hope I don't have to find out how much it costs.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons

Without exception, the best adjustable hitch!

Excellent quality. One of the things I love most is that the pivot ball and adjustable arm cannot be removed from the clutch insert, meaning no one is going to steal any part of this clutch without first pulling it out of the receiver. Since this is an expensive hitch I use a 1/2" bolt receiver lock which is the hardest to break and not easy to break as it is coded into your car's ignition key.

  • Absolutely amazing!

Expensive but worth the money.

This is a great product that allows me to adjust the height of the trailer for my tractors as well as the size of the ball. I have two, one of which even contains a smaller 1 7/8" ball. Great that I don't have to search the garage for different sized balls and elevation changes every time I move a trailer. Boat/Scenery/Utility , everything works great! It's expensive but very well made. Be careful to block the receiver because it can disappear if you're not careful.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Big and bulky

A little advice from the owner of the black and white

I love this hitch! Very good. I have a Duramax with 33" tires and it goes well with my trailers. The only thing I want to do is spend an extra $10 for 3 balls. My closed race trailer is low so the adjustment is the lowest. the other ball, which is not used, is close to the ground. If I had gotten the third ball this would not have happened because I would have put the largest ball on top. Just a little tip if you're driving a half ton because they're already deep seated. Take 3 balls. b/w Ball.

  • Very good price
Cons
  • Nothing

Have a look before you buy the cheaper hitch

This hitch is perfect. I have a 2008 GMC 2500 and used to buy an aluminum Trimax clutch. The B and W hitches are very easy to set up, which helps because I'm towing 3 different types of trailers. After looking at the hitch I wondered if it would be possible to steal the ball off the hitch since I left it on my truck. The pins are only held by cotter pins. Even if the thief tries to take it away, he won't be able to. An anti-slip coating has been applied to the connection piece from the coupling

Holds multiple trucks

This is my second. The first was about 15 years old. Still works fine but I wanted a shiny new one for my new truck. I ordered an extra pin to match the pin in the hitch, cut and drilled it to fit the #5 main lock. Most locking pins can be easily and effortlessly broken at the end of the lock using a tube placed over the lock. I'm sure the lock can be picked as well, but it will be a struggle and likely noisy. Best I could come up with as I couldn't find one already made. Also upgraded to…

As a bonus it looks great and fits my truck perfectly

Received the hitch quickly and fitted it to my truck straight away. I haven't had a chance to use it, but it's a very high quality product. The weight and tightness of the pins let me know this is a solid, well-made part with tight tolerances. I will have no qualms about hooking up a trailer to this hitch. I didn't get a chance to try it due to the holidays, but I'll use it this week. As a bonus, it looks great and fits my truck perfectly. (Sorry, I tried several ways to get the image right)…

  • Sturdy construction

Overall very happy with this clasp!

I got this hook and immediately tried to install it. It fits fine on its own, but with my hitch mounted fenders they hold it too far to fit the pin in the rear mounting hole. I contacted B&W to see if the 7" version has a longer shaft with holes further apart. This is not. Shaft length is 2 inches longer, but my Superduty only has a flat stroke with 35-inch tires. I was afraid he would pull badly on dips. Opinion. The standard 2" non-adjustable hitch is about halfway through the 5" drop…
