You end up ruining the door if the screws break and its head breaks (uploaded pics for the same) then you can't unscrew it and you end up with only half screw holes. cheap quality material used. I drilled before inserting the screws, but the screws themselves are very weak. Don't buy this product, waste of money.

This is definitely a light load. I made a small pilot hole for the screws and stuck them in a bit and ended up breaking 4 screws in the door. Two were enough for me to clamp with pliers to unscrew. But the other two couldn't even get out with a screw extractor. Ended up going with other screws and left the broken ones in the door. Luckily the ones I was able to pull out were diagonal ones. It was at the Dutch cellar door.

This clasp is exactly as described and is a nice weight. The quality is solid too. My only complaint about the packaging was that there was no paper between the two bars and they were packaged together in a small ziplock plastic bag. Due to the lack of protection, they scratched each other in several places. I will touch up before installing but even a piece of tissue paper wrapped over it would save an otherwise excellent product from damage. Thanks very much!

I expected these bars to be a bit stronger. I ended up going to the local hardware store to buy what I needed. I'll save them for another project later, but they aren't strong enough for my purpose. I was planning to use them for a ramp door on an enclosed cargo trailer that was going to be used as a camper so I could lock it from the inside while attaching the locks to the bars to keep them from locking in. These locks are not strong enough to feel secure.

These latches are good for the price you pay. There are much better latches out there, but these will get the job done. Unfortunately, we had issues with the included screws being ripped off during installation. We ended up having to use some of our own screws. The other issue we found is that the host needs to be perfectly aligned for this to work. So you need to take the time to make sure you place it in the right place during installation.
