Tupperware Spin Salad Spinner Chili Review

This is my second. My son accidentally melted the top cap and I couldn't find a replacement cap anywhere. So I bought another brand but the string broke making it unusable. So I gritted my teeth and bought another Tupperware. I use this a few times a week because I like my romaine dry mix with spinach so the leftovers keep a little longer. It's easy to clean and a bit pricey, but I expect it to last forever.

This salad spinner holds a LOT of lettuce. It is excellent. Easy to use and clean. I keep my salad in the fridge after washing and it keeps it fresh for a week. I've had it for about 15 years and a few weeks ago I accidentally broke the frigging handle. It was still usable but a bit bulky so I went online to find a new one. While I am a huge Tupperware fan, this product is a bit disappointing. If I had never used an OXO one-button salad spinner, I would have been a lot more impressed. However, it takes a lot of force to turn the knob and once you do, the container will no longer slide off the counter. The good side is that with the included lid it can be used in the fridge and also to store grapes and other fruits. If you could get this for less than $20 I would buy it.
