Worked great for me, good for rowing and sailing

I needed a long rope to fell a crooked tree. While not the most durable option available it serves my purpose at a good price. It's soft and supple enough to work with and when carrying a load of 1 ton it performed admirably I have no idea how tight the rope was but it was quite tight and I left it taut overnight to get rid of the stretch I am happy to report that it didn't seem to stretch at all. The tree was successfully felled and the rope is now ready for the next use. It deserves 5 stars…

Pros
  • Size: 1/2" 200ft. The bitter end of the rope is sealed to prevent unraveling; This dock rope is not easy to tie and can be used anytime
Cons
  • Not sure

The rope came out of the box with scuffs and tears in the rotating sections.

I purchase items well in advance of the time I intend to use them, so once unpacked they are non-refundable. It took me about 2 hours to untangle the self forming twisted knots. The rope had some deformations, looked worn and torn in places. I had to use it as part of my anchor system during a sleepless night at the beach. The next day, when I lifted the anchor to replace the rope, I found that the metal loop at the end had come loose from the rope and the rope was starting to wear out badly. .

Pros
  • This twisted line is designed for boats of all sizes. Ideal for anchoring, mooring, boat/sailboat docking, towing, lifting, rolling, camping, emergency hiking.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

The fabric seems a little loose but still good.

I guess that's to be expected, but it took forever to uncoil the rope with all the little twists (I didn't "uncoil" it the first time I used it - just pull it out at the end so that it is turned away from the exit of the coil). I unfolded it to its full length (on the ground) and then worked on changing the direction of the curves for almost an hour. If I could drop it in the water or hang it from something where it could spin it would save me a lot of time, but in this case I couldn't let any…

Pros
  • Manufactured from triple strand polypropylene for superior strength and ease of use. 5850lb breaking strength for almost any boat
Cons
  • piggy bank price
