Not bad for the price

Not bad for the price. It's made in China, not as well made (by the looks of it) as the original starter, but good quality for the price. It seems to work fine but sometimes there is a whistle like the starter is still turning after the engine has started. Apparently the starter rotates faster than the original. Apart from that it works fine. Can't beat the price and I still have the original which I can restore and reset (if necessary). Let's see how this holds up.

So far, so good! - Starter

As described; brand new and never used. The sound of the device after turning the key is just great. It's really too early to judge the quality of this starter, but after having it installed in my '99 Corolla for more than 2 months, it works great. Even if my car has driven 218,000 miles, the car starts right after turning the key. Not a single hesitation. I'll update the review if I find any changes, but so far so good! Update: Still running on a flash drive after 4 months of use. I really…

Krone 2001 My problems solved!

I don't review products online, but in this case I think it's important to let other consumers know about my experience with this product. I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla with about 175,000 miles on it. It stays on the road and functions as a second car in our family because it was a real gem. The starter returned in February. The auto mechanic wanted to charge over $225 for the starter. I found this one for just under $85 and bought it because of the reviews and the price. It worked like a charm.

It worked great, no problems landing.

Update: Still working well almost 2 years later. The part was an exact replacement for my cousin Toyota Corolla LE 1998 1.8L. Launched with no problems. Cheaper than the local auto parts store and didn't even have to pay a base fee. It even came with a data sheet with test results for a single starter. I will update if I encounter any durability issues. Corolla 98' Tips Here are some things I've learned. Do not attempt to move the transmission cooler or power steering lines that are attached to
