Review on TYC 1 17727 Corolla Replacement Starter by Haggis Bryant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It worked great, no problems landing.

Update: Still working well almost 2 years later. The part was an exact replacement for my cousin Toyota Corolla LE 1998 1.8L. Launched with no problems. Cheaper than the local auto parts store and didn't even have to pay a base fee. It even came with a data sheet with test results for a single starter. I will update if I encounter any durability issues. Corolla 98' Tips Here are some things I've learned. Do not attempt to move the transmission cooler or power steering lines that are attached to the underside of the core mount. Do not attempt to remove the bottom of the radiator housing and drain the coolant. It will drain normally through the bottom but the oil filter MUST be removed as some of the oil will fall out. The lower screw is screwed into the side of the battery. The top screw will detach from the battery.

Pros
  • Starter and parts
Cons
  • Out of style
