Cheap version of this tea ball

Massive hole through which loads of sediment/leaf particles can pass. The seam is sloppy, the goods arrived crumpled. Everything in it speaks of "the lowest production costs in China". I threw it away, lesson learned.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Great but. best in kitchen and dining room

I found a very similar tea ball at the Dollar Tree for a dollar. Works just as well, also made in China from Chinese stainless steel, but much cheaper. If you're willing to shell out nine bucks for two, they work great and make a nice cup of tea. I can't blame them for making money.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Annoying

Many reviews are written about plastic.

There are many reviews of plastic fakes with an oily coating, so in the interest of science and to allay my fears I cut one of mine. I got it through the sale of TCP Global. It's definitely metal and I think I need to buy more now.

  • Regular Price

Looks and sounds bigger than it really is

I was looking for a large tea ball to prepare 1-2 liters of iced tea and thought that would be enough. However, my usual small tea balls fit perfectly, making them 10% larger. These are good standard 1 cup tea balls if that's what you're looking for, but go elsewhere if you want bigger ones like me. I would return them but for €9 it's not worth the hassle. I feel bad that I didn't check them out more carefully, but I also think the ads are unnecessarily misleading.

ATTENTION TO THE BUYER! in tea filters

After using these 4 times and having cleaned them thoroughly more times than I can count I now know that this product is cheaply made and SHOULD NOT be sold. What they call stainless steel is NOT. Every time I have used this product has left a film in my cup and a metallic taste in my tea. At first I thought it was just me or maybe a dirty mug, but after the 3rd and 4th time I know this is the product. I have also used my other spinners and have NEVER had this problem. One of them also had a…

It was a failure :( in Tea Infusers & Filters

I really wanted to like these tea balls! They looked great and seemed to be of excellent quality when I opened the tea! The ball sat beautifully in my cup - I did I was delighted! And then little bits of tea leaves started floating in the water. No! I let it steep for a while, came back and the water was covered with leaves on top. The only thing I could do was pour the tea through Strainer to drink it and it takes a lot of time, for convenience I have included a picture of the strainer, which…

Great for pouring ginger

I bought these to pour ginger into 1 gallon jars. I drink a lot of ginger water and at first thought the holes were too small to capture the flavor of the ginger. I grate the ginger on a fine spice grater and then fill both brewers. The hooks at the end of the chain are perfect for attaching to the hole in my lid for my jar. I use a regular ice tea container to let the ginger infuse overnight. Here are some delicious recipes: half ginger water, half lemonade with no sugar. Half ginger water…

Suitable for a cup of tea

I use them for various loose leaf teas. A typical cup of tea requires 2 grams of leaves and 6-8 ounces of water. A standard American coffee cup holds 8-12 ounces of water, so I typically use 3g. These work well for 2g. 3g also works well when dry, but once the water is absorbed they fully expand to the size of a 'teaball' so don't expect to use much more for larger cups of tea - the gold standard , but compared to everything I've had. 4 stars for that. First of all. It has holes. You'll…
